WASCOE President’s Report, December 2009 Hello everyone! Christmas is now behind us and now we have a New Year to look forward to! Make sure and predate 2010 on a bunch checks to get yourself ready for this new decade! It usually takes us until March to figure out it is a new year, so Jenna (on my behalf) puts the new year on one complete set of checks! In this edition of the WASCOE newsletter you will find many interesting articles from your WASCOE Committee Chairpersons, Officers and Directors along with another feature story from one of our FSA Offices in Wisconsin. From the comments I have received so far, this is a huge hit with all of us in Wisconsin! Thank you to all Counties that have participated so far! I will be going to the NASCOE Pre-Negotiation meeting in January with my NASCOE hat on. When I return I will let all of you know how it went, and what issues/concerns/ideas were brought up that you will find interesting. Thank you to all of you that submitted your questions/thoughts/concerns for this Pre-Negotiation session! From what I have heard, we will have hundreds of items to go through. Can’t wait! I love this stuff! On the WASCOE front, a few issues have come up that we are currently working on. I am happy to report to all of you that the lines of communication are open and management is listening to us! Sometime in January the WASCOE Officers will be meeting with the SED to run some ideas past him. Nothing is set yet, so watch for updates. Employee morale, job satisfaction, and over all wellness for each and every one of you is our number one concern. From my little corner of Wisconsin all looks good. I cannot see it all, so please let me know what WASCOE can do to help you! Please feel free to email me at oasen@charter.net or call or email any WASCOE Officer, Director or Committee Chairperson. We will do our best to help you! Please enjoy this edition of the WASCOE Newsletter and please make sure all in your office get a chance to see it! Sincerely submitted, Tom Oasen, WASCOE President
